Tune Almost Any Instrument With These 3 Free Apps

#GuitarTuning #PitchPipe #TunesTuesday #TuneInstrument #Music #HowToTune #AlternateTuning #OutOfTune #Guitar #TopThree #Apps
It's Sunday morning. In ten minutes, the choir will be playing the gathering song. I check my guitar one more time to see if it's tuned, and....... twaing~! Ouch. That didn't sound right. But no worries! I have a YouTube video on my phone, ready to go! I step outside, and discover that my internet has ZERO bars. Worries.

Luckily, an E from the piano saved the day, but it was suggested that a guitar tuning app would come in handy for the future. That got me to thinking. If there are apps for tuning guitar, what other tuning apps are out there? Which apps are the best? A few hours hanging out on the Google Play store, and a few downloads later, I came up with this list.

Black Thursday? Shopping on Thanksgiving Day

#BlackFriday #BlackThursday #Thanksgiving #ThanksgivingSale #OpenOnThanksgiving #ClosedOnThanksgiving #Soapbox #Consumer #Business #Policy #Holiday

Black Friday is nuts. You have people camped out waiting for the doors to open, insane crowds, and limited time offers that people swear makes it all worth it. It's such a lucrative retail day that some stores are trying to take full advantage of the shopping frenzy by starting their sales on Thanksgiving Day.

When I heard about this, all I could say was "Wow." Can you imagine having to work on Thanksgiving, when you should be celebrating with your family? Not only that, stores are encouraging shoppers to cut their holiday short, in the name of saving a buck or two.

If you're like me, and think that this Black Thursday business is a little ridiculous, then read on. I've complied a list of big name stores who refuse to open on Thanksgiving, to present an alternative to shopping at Black Thursday stores this season.

"Can you do anything with this button?"

That's all it takes to put a picture in my head of exactly what I can do with that button. I immediately got to work, and grabbed my bead-box. After all, a pretty button with a shank in the back is really just a chime-style necklace waiting to happen.

Here's what I came up with....

My DeviantArt Gallery- Favorite Arts from my Old Blog

Today I take on the task of moving the art from my old blog over to the DeviantArt gallery for my new one. It's kind of like the digital equivalent of cleaning my room. This is so, of course, in the sense that it's totally tedious, and takes forever. However, it's also so in the sense that I'm rediscovering a bunch of my cool old stuff.

I'm going to toss up some of my favorites, along with a link to my Gallery. I still have a lot more to add, so if you like what you see, feel free to follow me on DA.

#Japan #Jvlog #Jvlogger #YouTube #Rachel&Jun #MexicanSamurai100 #Unrested #Culture
Let's learn a new word. Well, okay, maybe you already knew this one...  but humor me.

Jvlogger: (Jay-vlog-er) n. One who has a video-blog (or "vlog") about Japan.

YouTube is awesome. It just is. You can learn, be entertained, and hear from people all around the world; and all you have to do is click and watch. One great example of this is the J-vlogger community. Through fun, informative videos from the point of view of gaijin (foreign persons) in Japan, they're helping to bridge the cultural gap between the once-secluded, conservative island country and the western world. Whether you're planning to visit Japan, or are just interested in what it's like over there, any of these videos a good way to spend a few minutes of your day.

Here I'll share a few of my favorite channels; along with videos, why they sparked my interest in the first place, and how they kept my attention.
