Kittens Vs Toddlers - 10 Ways the two Compare

#pets #kids #children #kittens #cats #top10 #funnycats #humor #versus #lolcat #babies
Kittens and toddlers have been stealing our hearts since the dawn of time. There's something about that perfect combination of babyish cuteness, uncanny bursts of intelligence, and that tendency to not care what anyone thinks that makes their antics utterly hilarious. A cat is a cat, and a human is a human, but that doesn't mean we can't get a good laugh from comparing the two! As a long-time toddler-wrangler, and a first-time kitty-mommy, I'm going to share some funny things I've observed.

5 Reasons to Give a Shelter Pet a Home for Christmas

#Pets #Animals #Dogs #Cats #Shelters #NoKillShelter #Humane #Rescue #RescueAnimal #Puppies #Kittens

A loving home is the greatest gift of all, and it's one that you can give to a shelter pet who needs it. Puppies and kittens are on a lot of Christmas lists, but choosing an older rescue animal is an act of kindness that benefits both the lucky pet and his new humans. Here are a few reasons to give a lonely creature in a shelter near you a second chance at a happy home.

Special thanks to Sophie Gamand for the use of these photos from her Instagram account in this post. Sophie uses her photography talents to help rescue pets find loving homes.

The cutie shown here is named Jessica. She's from New York, and she does well in a calm, single-human home with no pets.

Free CSS Cheat Sheet - How to Use Cascading Style Sheets

#CSS #WebDesign #Geek #Blogging #Code #ScriptKitty #HowTo #DIY #HTML #Technology #CheatSheet

You've probably heard that CSS makes building web pages a lot easier. But how? Basically, CSS is a giant shortcut. It allows you to use one file to dictate the style of your entire webpage, instead of adding attributes to every single HTML tag. By telling the computer what to modify, and how, you save typing, save computer memory, and save a ton of hassle if you ever decide to change the style of your web page.

Contained in this FREE guide:
You Make The Rules  -- What CSS is and how to write it
Adding CSS To Your Page -- Three ways to utilize style sheets
Custom Selectors -- Use variables to stylize <div>...</div> tags & more
Cheat Sheet -- a HUGE glossary of  code based on my own personal cheat-sheet

Star Wars The Old Republic, Roleplayers' Survival Guide

#gaming #mmo #geek #starwars #swtor #swtfe #RPG #roleplay #MTFBWY #gameguide #gamergirl

With The Force Awakens nearing its highly anticipated release, those of you who play MMOs may be inspired to get your Star Wars on. As far as roleplaying games go, Star Wars, The Old Republic/The Fallen Empire is pretty much the only game in town. SWTOR (Or SWTFE, as it's sometimes called since the recent Fallen Empire expansion), which has been online since December 20th, 2011, is a vast, beautifully crafted digital world set in the Star Wars universe. Since SWG's shut down on December 15th of the same year, TOR has been the go-to for MMORPG gamers to get their Star Wars fix.

However, as many roleplayers have discovered, the game is kind of a pain in the neck to actually roleplay (RP) in. While there are features a-plenty for finding and connection with people for quests, instances, PVP, and other combat content, there's little in place for connecting roleplayers with one another.

Fortunately, where there's a will, there's a way. If you're interested in some tips and tricks on finding RP in Star Wars the Old Republic, then read on.

Simple HTML Everyone Should Know

#HTML #Geek #WebDesign #Blogging #Simple #Easy #StudySunday #HowTo #Learning #Education #Computing

Web Design sounds pretty complicated, but it doesn't have to be. Today, tools like Wordpress and Blogger make it easy for someone with little to no knowledge of HTML to own and update a working website. However, it's still good to know a little about the coding language your web pages run on. It can make things a lot easier!

10 Foods To Fight Seasonal Allergies

#Allergies #Food #Health #Diet #Natural #FoodFriday #Wellness #HomeRemedy #HealthyFood #HealthyLiving #Vitamins

DISCLAIMER: The following post is for education and entertainment purposes, and is not intended to be used as medical advice. Always consult your doctor, and do your own research, before using any herbal medicine or home remedy!

Allergies are really just a big misunderstanding. They happen when a foreign material (say, pollen) is mistaken for something harmful. Your body thinks it's being attacked, so your immune system fights back with antibodies to kill the invader. It's these reactions that cause the irritation, runny/stuffy nose, and scratchy throats associated with allergies.

Like most things that ail the human body, this, too, can be fought with food! Here, you can learn how the ten readily-available foods featured on this list could help fight your seasonal allergies. In addition to this, I've included a list of seven allergy-fighting ingredients, and the foods that contain them; as well as a list of what foods to avoid to keep from triggering specific allergies. Curious how your diet can affect your hay fever? Read on!

Tune Almost Any Instrument With These 3 Free Apps

#GuitarTuning #PitchPipe #TunesTuesday #TuneInstrument #Music #HowToTune #AlternateTuning #OutOfTune #Guitar #TopThree #Apps
It's Sunday morning. In ten minutes, the choir will be playing the gathering song. I check my guitar one more time to see if it's tuned, and....... twaing~! Ouch. That didn't sound right. But no worries! I have a YouTube video on my phone, ready to go! I step outside, and discover that my internet has ZERO bars. Worries.

Luckily, an E from the piano saved the day, but it was suggested that a guitar tuning app would come in handy for the future. That got me to thinking. If there are apps for tuning guitar, what other tuning apps are out there? Which apps are the best? A few hours hanging out on the Google Play store, and a few downloads later, I came up with this list.

My DeviantArt Gallery- Favorite Arts from my Old Blog

#Deviantart #MerryLurker #Art #Morochey #Mermaids, #Characters #Original #Digital #Traditional #Pencil #Painting

Today I take on the task of moving the art from my old blog over to the DeviantArt gallery for my new one. It's kind of like the digital equivalent of cleaning my room. This is so, of course, in the sense that it's totally tedious, and takes forever. However, it's also so in the sense that I'm rediscovering a bunch of my cool old stuff.

I'm going to toss up some of my favorites, along with a link to my Gallery. I still have a lot more to add, so if you like what you see, feel free to follow me on DA.

Jvloggers! Three Awesome YouTube Channels About Japan

#Japan #Jvlog #Jvlogger #YouTube #Rachel&Jun #MexicanSamurai100 #Unrested #Culture
Let's learn a new word. Well, okay, maybe you already knew this one...  but humor me.

Jvlogger: (Jay-vlog-er) n. One who has a video-blog (or "vlog") about Japan.

YouTube is awesome. It just is. You can learn, be entertained, and hear from people all around the world; and all you have to do is click and watch. One great example of this is the J-vlogger community. Through fun, informative videos from the point of view of gaijin (foreign persons) in Japan, they're helping to bridge the cultural gap between the once-secluded, conservative island country and the western world. Whether you're planning to visit Japan, or are just interested in what it's like over there, any of these videos a good way to spend a few minutes of your day.

Here I'll share a few of my favorite channels; along with videos, why they sparked my interest in the first place, and how they kept my attention.
