Kittens and toddlers have been stealing our hearts since the dawn of time. There's something about that perfect combination of babyish cuteness, uncanny bursts of intelligence, and that tendency to not care what anyone thinks that makes their antics utterly hilarious. A cat is a cat, and a human is a human, but that doesn't mean we can't get a good laugh from comparing the two! As a long-time toddler-wrangler, and a first-time kitty-mommy, I'm going to share some funny things I've observed.

5 Reasons to Give a Shelter Pet a Home for Christmas
A loving home is the greatest gift of all, and it's one that you can give to a shelter pet who needs it. Puppies and kittens are on a lot of Christmas lists, but choosing an older rescue animal is an act of kindness that benefits both the lucky pet and his new humans. Here are a few reasons to give a lonely creature in a shelter near you a second chance at a happy home.
Special thanks to Sophie Gamand for the use of these photos from her Instagram account in this post. Sophie uses her photography talents to help rescue pets find loving homes. The cutie shown here is named Jessica. She's from New York, and she does well in a calm, single-human home with no pets. <<Learn more about Jessica>> |

CHEAT at Making Onigiri Rice Balls!
#food #cooking #rice #beef #onigiri #lifehack #howto #foodie #cheat #easy #japanesefood
Onigiri is basically rice balls stuffed with a filling, such as meat. The Japanese dish is typically molded by hand, and served as part of a bento box, or other meal. A while back, I linked to a video on how to make them, but eventually, I ended up finding a way to cheat. The result is an equally delicious (though slightly different-shaped) rice ball with a quicker prep-time, and easy clean-up.

We may be looking at yarn, but what I see is potential! A wild WIP appeared on my Instagram last night, and gradually formed itself into a cute bicycle cap made from the yarn shown here. Well, I helped it just a little. It was crafted mostly on-the-fly, with a basic design in mind. The pictures show how it went from fiber to fashion. If you'd like to see the transformation, read on! I'm going to show you how I did it.

Simple HTML Everyone Should Know
Web Design sounds pretty complicated, but it doesn't have to be. Today, tools like Wordpress and Blogger make it easy for someone with little to no knowledge of HTML to own and update a working website. However, it's still good to know a little about the coding language your web pages run on. It can make things a lot easier!

Jvloggers! Three Awesome YouTube Channels About Japan
#Japan #Jvlog #Jvlogger #YouTube #Rachel&Jun #MexicanSamurai100 #Unrested #Culture
Let's learn a new word. Well, okay, maybe you already knew this one... but humor me.Jvlogger: (Jay-vlog-er) n. One who has a video-blog (or "vlog") about Japan.
YouTube is awesome. It just is. You can learn, be entertained, and hear from people all around the world; and all you have to do is click and watch. One great example of this is the J-vlogger community. Through fun, informative videos from the point of view of gaijin (foreign persons) in Japan, they're helping to bridge the cultural gap between the once-secluded, conservative island country and the western world. Whether you're planning to visit Japan, or are just interested in what it's like over there, any of these videos a good way to spend a few minutes of your day.
Here I'll share a few of my favorite channels; along with videos, why they sparked my interest in the first place, and how they kept my attention.
