A local coffee place had open mic night in November, and I stopped by to play a few songs. There was great music, great coffee, and overall it was just a lot of fun. Here are a few videos of some of the music I played that night.

Trying Tofu - Is It Really Like Meat?

#Tofu #Veggie #Vegetarian #Cooking #VegetarianMeals #GoVeggie #MeatlessMeal #NewFoods #Culinary #Food #Foodie
       How to prepare tofu:
Step 1: Throw it in the trash.
            Step 2: Grill a steak.

Just kidding! Out of curiosity, I tried tofu. It was my first time cooking it, and my first time eating it outside of miso soup. Now, I'm a major meat-lover, so anything that claims to be "just like the real thing" is met with extreme skepticism. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a go.

Ukulele Cover - Positively 4th Street

#Music #Uke # Ukulele #BobDylan #Cover #Song #Video #YouTube #Tribute #Positively4thStreet #Art&Crafts
This is a cover of a Bob Dylan song called Positively 4th Street. It's one of my favorites because it's all about being a realist when it comes to fake friends. I chose it as my first Ukulele cover because it was a spur-of-the-moment thing, and I think the uke is a great spur-of-the-moment instrument. You can find the original version of Positively 4th Street on Google Play, here.

Crochet a Beret Without Counting Stitches

 #How-To #Crochet #Hats #RaspberryBeret #Lifehack #Cheat #CountingStitches #Fashion #FiberArts #Yarn #ArtAndCrafts
I posted this crocheted beret a while ago on Instagram. What you may not know, is that I made it using a technique with which you don't need to count stitches!

Crocheting a circle without counting stitches!? That's ridiculous, right? Want to see how I did it? Read on, and crochet along!

CHEAT at Making Onigiri Rice Balls!

#food #cooking #rice #beef #onigiri #lifehack #howto #foodie #cheat #easy #japanesefood
Onigiri is basically rice balls stuffed with a filling, such as meat. The Japanese dish is typically molded by hand, and served as part of a bento box, or other meal. A while back, I linked to a video on how to make them, but eventually, I ended up finding a way to cheat. The result is an equally delicious (though slightly different-shaped) rice ball with a quicker prep-time, and easy clean-up.

Crocheted Bicycle Cap

#FiberArts #Yarn #Yarnstagram #WearableArt #Crochet #Crocheting #OnTheHook #Fashion #HowTo #WIP #FinishedProduct
We may be looking at yarn, but what I see is potential! A wild WIP appeared on my Instagram last night, and gradually formed itself into a cute bicycle cap made from the yarn shown here. Well, I helped it just a little.

It was crafted mostly on-the-fly, with a basic design in mind. The pictures show how it went from fiber to fashion. If you'd like to see the transformation, read on! I'm going to show you how I did it.
